  1. Morning Rich Welcome to the Forum Check www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box and it will bring up your model. Then search the relevant section you will find small exploded drawings that will help. Plus all part numbers, double click the part number and it will call up a list of other models it was used in and alternatives (if they exist) Dave
  2. Morning Mark Welcome to the Forum Check www.realoem.com it's a BMW online parts list. Put the last 7 digits of your Vin number into the search box and it will bring up your model then check the Front Axle section You will find the Part Number you need plus if you double click the part number a list of other models it was used in. If the front diff is toast what caused it? The transfer case normally goes first changing the Diff with out fixing the cause may end up costing dear in the long run. Dave
  3. Morning Oliver Welcome to the Forum I would start with a Diagnostic session either with a BMW Specialist or a good Independent Garage or if you have deep pockets a BMW Dealership. Could be a lifter issue, Injector rattle or Vanos Dave
  4. Hi Antony Ooops not what you want to find. Most Insurers have a deal with a Windscreen company check your policy Dave
  5. Morning Gurtan Welcome to the Forum Normally Lambda faults will have an effect on mixture as the DME not getting the signals will revert to a basic fuel map so the car remains driveable. I would check the Throttle Body, fuel rail pressure and injectors. Dave
  6. Morning Steven Welcome to the Forum If you have received a recall letter I would follow it up with your nearest Dealer and explain what has happened, make sure they know it was a Diagnostic by the RAC that points to the FRM. Also check onine for any information that may point to others having a similar issue, I suspect your not alone. Dave
  7. Morning Duncan It may be that your keys need re-syncing with the car, check Google/Youtube for methods Fingers crossed that will cure it Dave
  8. Thats a new one Paul Not sure if you can take it apart I guess it depends on Cost ££ if a new one is horrendous it must be worth taking it off and seeing what you can do. Tried WD40 Dave
  9. Morning Duncan Welcome to the Forum Dave
  10. Hi Norman So there is no power at the connectors? From what I have read there is a fuse but it controls both sides so I would check the earth point for that side and the bulbs and holders. Try swapping bulbs side to side perhaps? Dave
  11. Welcome to the Forum David Afraid I have no experience with MHEV vehicles yet so can't be of much help, what have BMW to say? Dave
  12. I am not aware of any column shift BMW model unless it has been adapted for a driver with a disability? Or do you means paddle shift on the steering wheel? Dave
  13. Morning Norman Welcome to the Forum Checked the bulbs, and connector? Dave
  14. Morning Michelle Welcome to the Forum BMW have a fine mesh filter/screen around the bottom of the pump if a screen wash has been used that doesn't have a fungicide added a jelly like mess clogs the mesh and stops the washers working. If you cant do it yourself you need a friend who can remove the pump and either change the filter or simply wash it under the tap, also check that the washer reservoir is cleaned out as the sticky stuff may be floating around in there. Take a look at www.realoem.com either look for your model or put the last 7 digits of your Vin onto the search box it will bring up your model. You will find small exploded drawings that will help see where stuff fits. Dave
  15. Morning Johnathon Welcome to the Forum This used to come up often with the E53 normally it was only with the Halogen Lamps but I thought the E70 were all either Xenon or Bi Xenon? Check the light units are original, there have been people who have swapped pre-LCI for LCI lamps not realising you need to upgrade the wiring. Check the actual lamp you could upgrade to Osram Night Breaker I have read lots of good reports. I would start by checking all wiring pay attention to the earth, check realoem.com for part numbers to make sure yours are correct for your car. Dave
  16. Morning Mark Are you in Sport Mode? If driving normally are all changes OK? Are all changes OK in manual mode? When was the box last serviced? Dave
  17. Morning Paul First do you have a tow bar fitted ? If you do then first check the connections at the trailer plug, check the PDC controller (there is a connector black I think that lets the control system know the trailer is connected) The last is a check on the LCM for faults so a code read will be required, while reading the fault codes you could turn off the trailer light check. Dave
  18. Morning John Look at realoem.com they call it an "oddments tray" cant see any thing that is specific as a glasses holder. It would be a straight swap for your ashtray and give more room inside. For an insert maybe find a vacuum formed insert or chat up someone with a 3d printer Happy New Year Dave
  19. Glad your back safe and sound Stu bet you all need a holiday now 🤣 Dave
  20. Welcome to the Forum Mark Dave
  21. Hi Paulo Says missing codec not sure if it's the upload or my laptop Dave
  22. Hi John Welcome to the Forum Like many manufacturer Main Dealers if it isn't in the manual it can;t be done !! I have read that if you have the voice command button on the steering wheel and telephone prep in place then all you need is the voice command module and the cable harness Check www.realoem.com (a BMW online parts list), put the last 7 digits of your Vin in the search box then check the relevant section for what is required Good luck Dave
  23. Morning Paulo Welcome to the Forum The fact that faults cannot be cleared indicates that there is a problem, you need a diagnostic scan by a garage or someone with a BMW capable diagnostic reader Can't see your video so can't comment, I would look for a BMW specialist locally if you don't want to use BMW (the specialist will be about half the cost) Happy New Year Dave
  24. Morning Chris Happy New Year and Welcome to the Forum Beauty as they say is in the eyes of the beholder so your car should please you first others second Check www.realoem.com for part numbers then you can be sure if they will fit Enjoy your Beemer Dave
  25. Happy New Year Paul Mine were an own goal !! the rear lights were faded and cloudy polished them a couple of times but still didn't look good, So I brought new replacements fitted them mid year, first winter couldn't work out where the water was coming from in the boot. Finally worked it back to the rear clusters and sealed them up nothing since. I have read a lot of posts on other websites where the same thing has happened. Dave
