  1. Firstly I really doubt any spray shop will do s straight swap, maybe with some cash swapping hands too. Personaly Id visit a few paint shops and get it priced up for repair, may cost less than exchanging bumpers and cash. Yes M sport are a straight swap mate, but the fogs, grills etc from your standard bumpers wont fit. Adding PCD to the front can be a nightmare, as the wiring will not be there just to plug into.
  2. Take throttle body off and clean it mate. May not help but worth a try. The sensor is attached to the throttle body

  7. Jac had exactly the same problem a while back. Sprayed some WD40 in the locks, sorted. Sounds a carbon copy.
  8. Not all the time, they turn off after a while.
  9. Your car dont think one of doors are closed. Check the sensors on all the doors.
  10. Hi welcome to the club. Ill try answer as many as your questions as best I can mate 1. Are there any particular issues with either model/things I should look out for? Not that I know of other than regular problems all cars have 2. What is the servicing regimen for them broadly speaking, what's a typical service cost? I do around 7-10k an year and BMW charge around £250 a year 3. Are they generally regarded as reliable? Its a BMW, yes....but im not a big fan of the cheap plastic interior, i imagine it will get damaged easily. 4. Do they have a DPF and if so are there any issues? They do have DPF, not sure of any issues 5. Is there a 'better' model between the two - the 116 and 118 or one that's best avoided? I drove a 118d and thought it had terrible amounts of power for a 2ld engine. Personally Id go for the 120d, pay a little more road tax and still get 50mpg

  19. This is the speed sensor Not sure what that is, maybe something for self levelling suspension??
  20. Hi welcome to the club. I think Steve covered most there, but get the suspension and bushes checked especially rear sub farm bushes as I think they only have a 100k life and are expensive to change.
