I wasnt thinking of lowering, I worked out here that 19 wheels with 35 tyres would only be 5mm smaller than what I got right now so it should look ok
  2. G4VHD posted a topic in Wheels & Tyres
I was looking at these wheels, Whats the biggest I can go? 19 inch? And what tyres will I need to put on them?
  3. Went for this one Bike rack Wanted one for the Meg but mega bucks, this on is a universal one, didnt want to put the bickes in the back of the car to be honest.
  4. Not got anything special, but the missus and me got 2 muddy fox's. Going to Centre Parcs for the week monday so just reserved a bike rack from Halfrauds. When its on I'll get some pics up..
  5. Glad you sorted it
  6. Welcome to the club, I cant help you with your question, but as Andy said there aint much room behind there. I had to remove my CD player yesterday and its a little tight in there.
  7. Welcome I aint got a clue how to do it personaly, but I found this step 1 - pull up headrest - it goes up 2 inches step 2 - insert screwdriver in slot in the trapezoid shaped cover that is exposed under the headrest when its extended step 3 - once cover is removed, you see 2 aluminium levers in the exposed area. The front one is the rollbar release leverl. step 4 - Position yourself in your backseat. While pressing FORWARD (toward the front of car) on the front rollbar release lever, simultaneously push down on the rollbar. This takes just a little effort, since the rollbar is springloaded. don't worry about crushed fingers as the rollbar straddles your hand's position on the lever. Push the rollbar down until you hear it click into place. Step 5 - replace the plastic coverplate, front tabs first, then rear Show us a pic before you reset it, never heard of this let alone seen it
  8. Welcome, im new to BMW too, only a coulple of weeks in, all I can say is what a car! I took some headlights out of a E46 not so long, i havn't got any pics but I think it was just 3 screws, one was difficult to get to if I remember right. I imagine your car wouldnt be so different. If you do do it, take some pics of the process and post them up here.
  9. I had a little accident in my Megane a few months back, wont go int that though  I'd never touched anything mechanical on a car before, but had to change the rear axel, brakes discs, pads, 1 caliper and bleed them. And replace a wheel. I found it supprisingly easy and deffo wont be paying anyone for braks again.
  10. Might do, found one in the glove box too!!
  11. I dont know if this has been done before on here Shall we add each other on facebook? Do a search for Gavin Hodson im there somewhere...

  13. First car, loved it to bits. Some idiots nicked it and burnt it out. I honestly think I wold still have it today Not my car but a near perfect look a like Then I had a nail simular to this Not my actual car Then I think it was the Fiesta, the slowest car in the world Not my actual car Then came the Megane 1 Could belive the amount of trouble I had with this, I ended up unedrneath a Zafia in it one night!! Not my actual car Then the beast, Bravo HGT 150 bhp So fast in a straight line, used to beat my friends 2l turbo Saab 93, but it was terrible at cornering. Ended up running into an unmarked police car writing both off Not my actual car Then i got with the missus, she owned a very tidy Saxo VTR Then, not so long back, the nightmare(I should a learnt my lesson my first time round) While I had the Megane I brought a Tigra to play about with Ended up like this And now the ultimate driving machine

I'd personaly do the front too, you can get springs on EBay for around a ton, these if you want to go full sport Sport Suspension Lowering Kit And i dont think its perticualy hard to do your self as long as you know how to hold a spanner and can get tourqe settings. If you do it take some pics of the stages and post them up, would be interesting.
