  1. hi you will need the iso cables which are the same as i got but if you need the extra wires fore the steering controls they are mega bucks if you want the wires i will sale mine as now i have put the standard radio back in
  2. Hi all when I bought my 523 the air bag light was on and other things was not working so i went through loads of different things and narrowed it down to the little black box on thee back of the ignition switch and now I bought one it all works. If anyone who has an air bag light on and when you press the horn this is the fault or if your key just spins round hope this will help others and save you them huge bmw bills just to tell you they can not find a fault
  3. yeah all sorted now changed the ignition switch block and all works fine now
  4. I have had my 523 down to 8 mpg but that was flooring it but driving at correct speeds I am getting between 27 to 35 mpg when I bought it coming home was motorway and was up to around 39 mpg
  5. Hi I have got the dash in bits steering cowling is off all side panels in boot off. First thing I traced all stereo wires back into boot and found the relay put a voltage check on each wire on relay got life come to relay but when relay pluged back in it dont work. so i bridge two wires and everything works how they should so was thinking it must be on the switch side so i took the plug from the ignition put a wire in one of the reds and into the purple wire and all works plug it all back nothing works so it looks like the black plug on the switch is blown

  9. Just took the radio out again and put a volt meter on the accessory wire and no power is coming out all fuses is fine I am now thinking along the lines it could be the wires on the back of the ignition switch as the original radio stopped working that is why I fitted an after market one and got all the iso leads so no wires was cut
  10. the bumper is fine i was playing in photo bucket what can i put on it to protect the paintwork
