Might be a daft question, but do you interior lights still come on when you one the door? Try this by shutting the doors, leave 2 mins and reopen them

Yes it will run but display error lights It will run ok BMW are made to run with BMW but I will research this for you Why change a diff for a similar ratio? Front and rear for DSC they look like this What car are you putting the lump into?

Post 2008 in the 2ld wasn't fitted with swirl flaps mate. It's not such a hard job as long as you familier with a spanner. If you see anything in the West Midlands area, give me a shout I'll take a look for you.
