usually modern diesels don't need to wait but tbh in conditions that aren't common to the UK (EG -12 degree's) you may have to give it a second lol

Tricks And Tips
32. The multiple 'auto heater/AC combinations at start-up' memory options are nifty. havent used the word "Nifty" in years! .......will have to slip that into a conversation tomorrow lol

X5 fuel consumption
honestly the engines are usually pretty sound in a smaller / lighter car like a 3 / 5 series but theres a lot more factors in the X5 range, much heavier car and the difference in aerodynamics make a huge difference to mpg

tbh I would say its the glow plugs turn the key and wait til the glow plugs light goes off....wait another 10-20 seconds then try it give them a proper boi. I have had the exact same issue on my old 306. When were they last changed? might be an idea to replace them

Winter Tyres
Ive said it before and I'll say it again Why put new tyres on in "drift season"
-
services
tbh I aint sure of the make of my tyres they're the locals budgets at £50 a corner my tyres sizes are 225 / 45 / 18 on a track day I'd end up upgrading the rubber but for road use where the car doesn't get too hammered and require the limits of grip on every corner. Not gone off the road yet but I guess I havent pushed my luck far enough then lol

interior swap
Some 4 door saloons come with seats that don't fold down the tourer seats were built to fold down so its more van like.....you may have a trouble there tbh other than that i cant see why not.
-
services
wow tbh all seem wear and tear bits, they would need changing at some point so cant complain. I give up spending crazy money on tyres nowadays, all well and good but for day to day use cheap tyres are just as good cheap michelins would do the same job unles your running it on track days every weekend. plus you dont mind so much when you do give it some beans because the tyres didn't cost you so much lol

New BM Owner
welcome to the club, tbh best bet is to call one out to have a look at the car, your under no obligation to pay them until they start working on it and ask for their opinion first to see what they can do.
