  1. no worries buddy put some pics up of the process and let us know how it goes
  2. sounds to me like its having trouble reading the DVD, is the nav disk scratched? have you tried a cd lens cleaner? might be first point of call, is the disk a few years out of date and needs a new one? Dont some of the 5's have auto traffic updates? if this is the case and you have an out dated disk you would get an error as per the passenger sensor i have no idea sorry fella
  3. I cant believe im the only person having this problem!!! lol the !Removed! drivers door is a nightmare on mine =[ ahh well you have to laugh i guess, good suggestion yet inefficient when I need to go to work lol
  4. Hi Dave, tbh shouldn't be a problem, the wiring connections should already be there. its a case of bolting them in and connecting them up as far as I beleive
  5. more than likely the air flow meter because of the Air filter putting too much air in when the car is cold Try a standard filter and if that fixes it then thats your problem.......then you have 2 options....stay with standard filter or upgrade throttle bodies lol I prefer the latter of the two but its quite a tad more expensive
  6. no need to shout......lol probbably a bad earth by the sounds of it
  7. hoorah got to my car after work and its thawed out enough to open the door from the inside.....lock is still frozen lol still gotta enter from the passenger door but half way there lol
  8. I've done that.....the ruddy drive is.now an ice rink Haha
  9. yeah the lock pops up fine just doesnt seem to do anything after that Lock has never opened from the key fob....have to manually use the key....but cant get the key in the lock...its frozen lol
  10. so.....my drivers door is STILL frozen shut.....I'm beginning to think it may be broken =/
  11. !Removed! frost lol
  12. they aint too bad to run tbh i have a 320 and thats not too bad tbh. its more expensive than a lot of cars ive previously owned but not shockingly different.......tbh i do wish i had a diesel lol my missus get 50mpg in hers and i only get around 26 in mine =[
  13. nice always fun to have a track toy, i really need a track toy for the summer months
  14. Can't you tell I work in Retail Sales lol
  15. tbh the garage should fix it under its warranty not the AA its upto the garage to fix any problems under a warranty period the AA are the ones that fund the fixes. The AA won't touch it I don't think.....Its like buying a loaf of warburtons bread from tesco and theres mould on it....Tesco wouldn't tell you to go to warburtons about it, they would deal with it. Same issue.

    weirdest thing

    solution......dont eat your key lol
  17. from an x5 to an M3.....and your looking for fun....... you have made the correct choice my friend!
  18. Stoke had a good drop of snow driving everywhere at no more than 20mph, 15 minute journey to work takes 1 hour 15 mins lol nice weather but ruins my MPG's I must admit though I did take the missus for a quick spin round the local BnQ car park earlier this evening.....to teach her how to control skidding in a rwd car.....thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it! lol
  19. this is true but it you can get to the service department they can tell you about OBD compatibility in seconds. ALWAYS go to a local grease monkey before main dealership for work like this because it will save you a truck load of cash and tbh cant exactly go wrong on a job like reading ecu codes
  20. lol Wouldnt drive an x5 prefer an m3 for the money, Take it a garage and get a valuation.... add a grand onto the price and you have your private selling price. Garages will give you a wholesale price because they need to buy at a wholesale price so they can make money on it always a nice indication on what your car is worth.
  21. error code reader will tell you exactly one, should be a sensor or a loose wire somewhere
  22. I used to manage an apple store and know for a fact how much of a nightmare sourcing the cable is as customers asked me every single day lol, can only get them OEM I tried everywhere to get one but had to refer back to dealerships in the end.
