A lot of these sound like important fancy jobs!

I'm the singer in a rock band called Albany Down. We've recorded and released 2 albums so far and we're constantly touring round the UK (our van is sadly not as comfortable as my new Bimmer). This year we're dipping our toes into Europe for the first time, since we've had requests to go over for some festivals. Good times!

Your job sounds more interesting than mine, the only thing I've recorded is points on the green paper.

IT Project Manager, currently working in the Education sector designing and deploying IT systems for schools and academies.

This is a great thread for me, I'm 62, nearly the end of my "useful" life and could go on and on about my jobs and career turns. But, I am currently employed in a plumbers merchants warehouse on a casual basis, and on a self-employed, sole trader basis as a windscreen repair/refurbishment specialist.Don't replace it, repair it!!!!!!! LOL.

A Wind Turbine Engineer for the last 5 years

Jeff, were did you get the idea you are nearing the end of useful life. I'm coming up to 60 and certainly have my uses, just ask my children lol.

HaHa, yes, I've 4 daughters aged between 34 and 26, and, except for the one who lives in Australia, "Dad" still has his uses. No, I meant end of useful life more in the physical and rather unavoidable sense of getting older. You can get the violins out now if you want, but I'd rather you didn't, lol, but I've had both my hips replaced, my ankles and knees are knacked with osteoarthritis, and so, having been a very keen football and rugby player for around 30 years of my life, I do sometimes feel a bit useless. But a couple of pints up the club usually makes me feel better. :D

Electrical Engineer, working on advertising LCD/LED screens, and hopefully, shortly one of the many motorway wombles causing hell by closing the outside lanes of most of the UK motorway network to fit the LED streetlights, in the name of a multi-billion pound contract.

Previously? Bar Lackey. Bugger that for a lark ever again if I can help it.

Welder/Pipefitter to trade, been in Oil/Offshore my entire career, feels like I have been offshore forever. Been on this job for

nearly 18 years now. Great in Summer, absolutely awful in the Winter.

Oh Dear! Probably not considered a proper job- I've been an HMRC Tax Inspector for over 25 years-but a popular one as I assist companies with Research & Development claims-including motorsports etc. Part-time (thanks to Dave, George & the bankers I've been on a pay freeze for several years-'we're all in it together' not likely we're not!) I work a lot of music festivals-Glastonbury, Reading etc, previously doing audit work, but more recently Traffic Officer for same company-keeping the traffic moving. Oh-and the bonus-Guitar bands are my mid-life crisis-now along with the 325 ti compact and Mondeo ST200.

I Breed SQUIRRELS !

Yes, it is bloody hard stopping them squealing too ! :-p

Im a design engineer in the automotive industry mainly working with one off or limited run show cars or concept cars designing mechanisms. Ive been in the same job for 3 years, my first job since uni and still loving it :-D

I work in the servicing department for Peugeot & Citroen.. Not quite BMW but, trade price on parts and the oppourtunity to become and MOT tester ;)

Warehouse Operative at Tesco :)
