I think you have to pay. I can update my system but not maps here. You need VIN:

I think updating your maps will depend on which system is in your car some have a Disc update others have a USB system. Is your car E83LCI or F25 ? If you are driving the E83 LCI you will need the Updated map DVD 2018 or 2019 I would think are the latest so simple to upgrade.

If you have the F25 model you will need a FSC code from BMW to upgrade the maps so it may be simpler (though more costly) to get them to do it for you, plus if anything goes wonky it's their issue not yours

Very knowledgeable, way cheaper than BMW and identical in quality.

I've had 4 updates for my BMW and one for my daughter's Quashqai.

Rusty will supply all files and codes, just needs last 7 digits of Vin if it's the one that updates from USB like mine.

If it's the DVD system, then I've no experience but am 100% sure Rusty will be able to provide.

The latest for USB id 2020-2, 2021-1 is due out soon but no exact date yet.
