Just thought I'd say hi, first time owner of a BMW, just got a 2001 330ci msport, black on black, 80k on the cool in need of a bit of tlc but cracking car! massive difference to the s1 elise that keeps it company!.. loving the BMW.. ooh so much torque!

Cheers Guys.. been busy since I joined last year!!!!...

Well not long after signing up took the car to a garage as it made an odd clunk from the rear, worn bushes everywhere.. and cracks in rear floor!!!..so £900 later allsorted. Well 4 months later front felt a bit whimmy, worn fornt rear CR bush and leaking front shock, then the battery light came on.. So fa he's had (its a boy my wife says so!) new front control arms, shocks, alternator, rear discs and pads, hand brake shoes, thermostat and water pump later, oh adn angels eyes linked to remote lights/and set as DRL's the car is driving great or will be once I fit the shocks and controls arms.. bit annoying but meh, when we drive the car its great!..

Heres a couple of pictures the day we picked it up and of both my two bits of pride and joy!

      wheel fitment

      Absolutely correct my E53 runs 9.5 x 20 Front and 10.5 x 20 Rear and the E70 is as yo say 10 x 20 Front 11 x 20 Rear. Not really necessary on a 4x4 but BMW Designers like the looks 🤣🤣 ( and so do I) Hope you found what you needed Dave

      Front windscreen washers

      Morning Donna Has the pump always been like this or has it come on over time? I think I would check the voltage at the Pump connectors so you can compare front and rear perhaps swap the connectors. If the pump action changes when the connector is swapped then the wiring needs checking and the connector needs cleaning with a good electrical contact cleaner. Dave

      Front windscreen washers

      Hi Dave. In my opinion the squirt is weak, it only reached about a third of the way up the windscreen. The hose has been completely changed from the pump to the first jet, tank and filters have been removed and fully cleaned. It works but weak when the car is not running, but as soon as i start the car the pump works for about 3 seconds before stopping then nothing. The rear is working fine, it's just the fronts.

      great info! 5 X 120 pattern. I believe the x5 uses 10" front and 11" rear?
