  1. HI all, First off sorry if its not in the right place, but I was wondering does anyone know how much it costs to get the various options for your key set up, as I 've jusr replaced the battery in my fob and it unlocks the car/starts fine adn even remembers the climate control settings between the two cars. However it does not seem to remember the seat and wing mirror positions? either that or I'm not doing it correctly
  2. looks like my top mounts rubber is moving.. just putting it out there if people are having similar issues.
  3. 2001 e46 330ci M-sport since last August: Leaking front shock Hand brake (needed new pads discintigrated, new disks & brake pads) Rear clonk (worn rear bushes and cracks in boot floor!) Front Control arms, Bushes and top mounts (now squeaks GRRRRRR) Thermostat Waterpump Alternator rear brake bulb.. lol its a hell of a lot for a 80k car with FBMWSH.. Still love it though!
  4. Man this is annoying.. last weekend I replaced, both front shocks for OEM BOGE units.. and the top, also fitted new Meyle front Control arms and bushes. This has made the front end feel much better, but now I get an annoying squeak which seems to come from the passenger side when I turn and going slowly over slightly rough surface. So I'm a little perplexed, I've seemed to lost a clunk and got a squeak for my troubles?.. I'm worried I've fitted something incorrectly. It's got an MOT next week and a wheel alignment booked in, so I think I may get them to take a look. we did notice on the passenger side one of the rubber gromits that sit between the spring and the strut would not seat properly, I'm wondering if it could be that? Also I shone a torch up in the wheel wells it looks like the spring may not be seated right up to the stop in the top plates?.. both are about 1 cm or just over from the stop (bugger) so maybe this is causing an issue, and I recall one of the top mounts had a little play in it once on the shock.. It was new, maybe I should have just put the old one back on, but it was late etc etc you know the story. I have also heard that the strut brace can cause squeaks.. but as this problem seems to be when turning the after turning it seems odd, and also the pad wear sensor Is another thing that can squeak, and also the little bracket that sits on the control arm can cause squeaks to.. so I'm told? So I think maybe I need to spend a while at the weekend spraying silicon lube on the bushes etc may help, I may try loosening the FCARBs and getting a little copper slip behind them. checking around the brakes to as these were disturbed during fitting the new components, other than that I'm out of ideas.. apart from sling it into my local indy and see what they come up with.

Cheers Guys.. been busy since I joined last year!!!!... Well not long after signing up took the car to a garage as it made an odd clunk from the rear, worn bushes everywhere.. and cracks in rear floor!!!..so £900 later allsorted. Well 4 months later front felt a bit whimmy, worn fornt rear CR bush and leaking front shock, then the battery light came on.. So fa he's had (its a boy my wife says so!) new front control arms, shocks, alternator, rear discs and pads, hand brake shoes, thermostat and water pump later, oh adn angels eyes linked to remote lights/and set as DRL's the car is driving great or will be once I fit the shocks and controls arms.. bit annoying but meh, when we drive the car its great!.. Heres a couple of pictures the day we picked it up and of both my two bits of pride and joy!
