Hello all
Does anyone know which is the cable that is connected to the thermostat heater element, the plug that is on the side of the thermostat housing. I was working in the car and removed the plug from the housing a few months ago and now I do not remember which of the two plugs, there are two identical plugs on flying leads close to each other, is the one that I should connect to the heater element.
Many thanks

Bad bits - needs 2 wings and a bonnet due to corrosion. Corrosion spots around the car as can be seen in the pictures.
Glass on passenger mirror fell of but not broken.
Air con not holding gas
Bleed nipple snapped passenger side rear caliper but not leaking.
Original suspension could do with being replaced.
Misfiring due to being of the road 4 years! Might be bad fuel or MAF sensor as was fine before.
Airbag light on but BMW did a recall so not been in to replace.
Owned this car almost 20years and took it of the road 4 years ago as it was needing work every year and I needed a newer family car. I had intensions to restore but have not had the time or money over the years.
Not sure if the car is worth much these days but don't want it going to scrap so open to offers.

I would still try the Dismantlers if I recall there was a Register of BMW Dismantlers/Recyclers in the UK it certainly can't hurt. Maybe a complete lamp is the only option
Dave
Hi Dave, thanks for that. So it appears that BMW stopped production of the lens in 2023. I can find a 2nd hand lamp, but there's a huge cost difference between the lamp and just the glass. Our local BMW dealer has done a worldwide search, and there are no lenses (of the correct part number), in any dealership. And no wrecker is going to sell just the lens. Dilemma.
