  1. Hi and welcome Lili.

Its much the same as looking at any car your planning to buy. Ensure it has a recent MOT and check it for any advisories. This could indicate some expensive bills about to come up. Check the tyres are good and the wear is even and the brake disks and pads have plenty of life left. You don't want to buy a car only to have to pay out for these straight away.

Suspension bushes tend to go on the older cars so see if there is any indication that these have been done. General condition of the bodywork and interior will indicate if car has been looked after or not.

Must have comprehensive history with it.

    Good luck with your search

  2. 400 Euros sounds a bargain. Even if it wasn't running it would be worth buying to restore. Depending on mileage and specification it could be worth anything from £4000 to £8000.

Obviously if it was an Alpina it would be worth a whole lot more.

  3. Le Mans blue is the colour and it took me months to find a low mileage one in the spec I wanted.

You may be able to get an OBD11 device that connects to your computer with software that does the lot. I have a very good code reader which clears the codes but not the service indicators.

    One of these:
