  1. I would get your battery tested first as a failing one throws up all sorts of issues.

    Has the car been parked outside a lot? Some damp may have got into the electrics somewhere. Sometimes pulling the fuses and connections and re-seating helps to clean off any oxidation on the contacts.

  2. Cant really help without knowing the fault codes. It may be worth you getting one of these so you can check for yourself what is wrong before taking it to the stealer.

    It not only gives the code but provides a description. Also you can use it to clear the codes.
