  1. Its probably not something anyone here has done. People wont know what the question is before they read the post, so obviously you are likely to get a lot of views without an answer. This is the first time I have seen a post on the subject. The last time I heard about one of these valves was on a 1984 MG Metro. To get to the point, I fail to see the point of the valve. I can only assume it is to protect the clutch from people unable to control their releasing the pedal smoothly. I cant see too much of an issue in removing it or probably better to replace it with one that works properly.
  2. Welcome along Scott
  3. You need to cycle through the computer using the button and rocker switch on the indicator stalk. Its probably just telling you that your fuel is low.
  4. Welcome along Josephine
  5. Im surprised it needs topping up already. Best off getting the aircon system serviced and topped up if necessary.
  6. Looks nice clean and straight. The alloys look mint which is rare. Just needs a badge. Nice find
  7. With it running different when disconnected it suggests it is working. If there was no change it would definitely need replacing or cleaning. If your car has an idle control valve, this would be the most likely culprit.
  8. I had an interesting experience with Flux Direct. Insured my Daughter on a KA as a learner for £430. Great value at the time. She passed her test three weeks later so called Flux Direct who informed me that the new price will now be £3,460. The car is only worth £1,100 but I do know that this has no bearing on the insurance cost. I had to pay £130 cancellation fee plus I had already paid a deposit and the first months charge. Three weeks insurance ended up costing me about £220.
  9. Welcome Simon
  10. Auto boxes will not hold the car on a hill in Neutral. Only Park locks the wheels. As said before the handbrakes are not great as these have disks on the rear. The old brake shoes system always holds better on a handbrake.
  11. Your fuel useage will depend on the driving. I get 40 mpg from my 170 bhp 320i M Sport on a run. I rarely use it for short journeys so dont know what it would be like around town. I suspect you will do better than low 30's
  12. It could be a number of things, but the codes that the garage cleared should point to the issue. Coil Pack, Cranckshaft Sensor, for a couple of pointers.
  13. Welcome along Geoff
  14. I think what the dealer is saying sounds about right. I know its a different car but I have 19 inch wheels on mine and its 33 psi fromt and 36 psi rear.

  21. I would just dab a bit of silicon in the holes.
  22. Welcome along Jules. I have never owned an MB but never really like the look of them.
  23. Im pretty sure these are after market, however the DVD Changers are expensive: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CKO-C-KO-DVC-6008-6-Disc-DVD-Changer-Screen-DVD-Player-/250891304795?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a6a497f5b Without seeing the connections I cant tell whether or not another make will fit the same. You may be better off looking for someone to repair the current unit.
