Bmw x4 2015 3.0d injector issue?
Morning Gabriel Welcome to the Forum The smooth running test tells you more, if idle is smooth and raising revs and letting them fall back doesn't upset the smooth running test all should be OK. Injector values are easy to reset but to do it you need the numbers on the top of each injector and that will need access to the injectors. Personally if things are running well MPG and Performance where you would expect I would leave it and monitor it once a month or so Enjoy your Beemer Dave

Appears no fire
Morning Larry Welcome to the Forum Sorry I can't hear the recording However your 539i runs with iBus so tracing faults with a BMW friendly diagnostic program (preferably INPA or BMW 1.4.0) so first step get a Diagnostic done. Checks to do first would be. Compression Check, Fuel Pressure at the injector rail. Fuel Pump relay, Vanos sensor and obviously is there a spark at the plugs. If you have compression fuel and spark it should at least try to start even if the Vanos timing is out Is the MAF plugged in and OK Good Luck Dave

Copy Ignition Key?
I would guess that you have a Blade cut to operate the door lock but it is just that a blade no chip in it. Stu knows more as he has done it but the Key reader should see the chip Do you have a working key that starts the car if so then it is the Fob which needs replacing and registering to the car Dave

Mileage
Morning Bubba Are you telling us your indicated mileage has risen from 63000 to 180000 ? If that is the case then it needs some checking, BMW store mileage in 2 places the Instrument Cluster and the Footwell Control Module it could be that one or the other has been changed but not registered to the car correctly and now mileage has reverted to it's original or it could be the car was clocked at some time in it's life Dave

Bmw f13 640d 12 litres of water found in boot help!
Morning Kashem Welcome to the Forum Matts post is a few years old and he never did follow up to let us know if he fixed it or sold the car The iDrive is built into the CiC Infotainment system in the front of the car the iDrive controller is also at the front. What is in the boot is the active sound controller and may be the Amp. A diagnostic scan using a BMW capable scanner should help identify where the issue is. First thing is get rid of the water and try to find where its coming in and fix that. Then check the fuses front and rear also check the loom carefully beneath the fuse board in the rear BMW use a cable jointing system that compress's copper wires together they are then covered with a clear plastic sleeve (see the attached picture) in the picture the thin green wires and Orange green trace are for the Can Bus system the black colour is corrosion 3 of 5 wires just fell out when I moved them I cut off the splice and remade the joint with solder and a shrinkwrap cover. I have found this now on 5 different BMW's that friends and family have brought to me with Can bus problems everything from radio not working nav stopped access system issues lights not working If you have had water in there I guess the loom has been submerged so worth a check in my X5 they were bundled in the main loom right beneath the fuse board and rear light (which leaked) I remade all the 5 splices you see in the picture Hope it helps Dave

MW F30 330E FLYWHEEL COMPATIBILITY
Morning Mish If they are listed in realoem then they should fit one point with DMF replacement make sure new flywheel bolts are included and fitted. My neighbour has an Uprated 330i had a new DMF clutch etc and within 3months was suffering similar symptoms to a failing DMF the garage he used hadn't used new bolts but tried to convince him it was his uprated engine and his driving style that caused premature failure they were telling him he needed a new DMF. A fiddle but we got his car high enough on some hired Jack ramps and when we pulled the box the DMF was actually loose 8 new DMF bolts about £25 and Torqueing them correctly fixed his problem that was 2 years ago now with no issue since. Air bag fault
Morning Dimitri I believe if the oil is below safe levels it may prevent engine start and show an oil warning but if it isn't working !!! Unfortunately many Main Dealers (not just BMW) loose interest after their Warranty Responsibility ends. So unless a Diagnostic scan is called for and paid for they do not do them and even if they find something which doesn't have an effect on day to day running it gets ignored or for gotten. As I said my 4.6is I fitted 3 Oil level sensors before it was fixed. The car had a full BMW history when I scanned the car that fault was there when I asked the dealer they knew about it but pointed out the sensor can only sensibly be changed at the next Oil Service and the Dip Stick allows oil level checks. I also had an AUC sensor fault Dealer again was not concerned but for me if it's there it needs to be working. Enjoy your Beemer Dave

Air bag fault
Not unusual for the oil level sensor to fail but never heard of one stopping the engine starting, though it does sound logical I changed 3 on the 4.6is but you have to wait until Oil Change as they are in the bottom of the sump Dave

X1 2024 Recall pillar problem
Glad it's finally resolved Paul Early 2000's I had an issue with the Merc E55 Estate I owned the Fault was a recall in USA) in Europe Dealer and Mercedes said never heard of it before?? Took my car and gave me a 320d saloon they seemed to think because I was still mobile that was OK. It actually took 2 months and a legal letter and Court date before they suddenly came to life Such a shame the big companies loose sight of their customers sometimes

Blown dash cluster & battery drain
Hi John Welcome to the Forum What diagnotics are you using ? Check the main connectors to the cluster for a short to earth as you have 2 blown clusters worth sending one to someone like ECU Testing to see if it can be repaired ? The cluster recieves information from several modules so a full Diagnostic check may well show the culprit up Dave

Air bag fault
Hi Dimitri Like Stu I have an old Windows 7 Lap top that I use only for Diagnostics it is a bit overworked as I have Programs for Volvo, Mercedes Star, BMW 1.4.0 and INPA on there, I really must upgrade the memory one day 😁 I have a full INPA/ISTA program but that runs on a different lap top with a bigger hard drive and plenty of memory (ISTA is a big program) I set 1.4.0 up for a neighbour by setting a Virtual Machine up on his laptop then setting up Windows 7 then load i.4.0 just make sure Win 7 is in 32bit mode Good Luck Dave

Air bag fault
Morning Dimitris Yes worth checking the Curtain Airbag as well BMW also love muliple Earth points my 4.4 had several difficult to trace faults that eventually I found an earth point in the back of the Boot/Trunk that was showing signs of rust around the mounting bolt took it off cleaned itput electrical contact paste on it and bolted it back, fixed lots of stuff. I went through the car and did all the earth points. With 1.4.0 did you download the program or load it from a disc ? The disc should have Drivers on it Load program then plug in the Connecting lead (Not connected to the Car) you should then see a prompt to load the drivers the n your good to go. As I have the program up and running if you want a 20year old disc I am happy to post it to you Dave

Air bag fault
Hi Demitri Your car has an Air Bag in each door so front right would be in the Drivers Door (UK) Passenger Door (LHD) I would check the Loom connections continuity through the door it could be a broken wire in the loom (make sure you disconnect the battery first) The other faults could be as simple as a corroded pin or poor earth, the Thermal Oil sensor fault may clear when earths and other connectors are cleaned up Do you have INPA or BMW 1.4.0 they will help a lot Dave

Air bag fault
Morning Dimitris First the battery is in good condition ? I spoke to a friend who works for BMW in the USA he tells me that this code is often riggered when work is carried out on orther components such as Steering Wheel or the Instrument cluster. He sent me the attached hope it helps BMW_Airbag_Failure_Codes.pdf
