first of all, welcome to the club :) iirc greeney is local to you, think he likes his gadgets to ;) i also think the e46 has a built in code finder, not 100% sure on this though, its something i keep meaning to look up! i no you can get certain things like engine temp etc but not sure on codes.

its a commen thing on the e46 , usually just needs a wiggle or a clean to fix it.

youd be surprised how crap the checks are! some things like setting the clock are done in some checks! A mechanic doing loads of road tests every day prob doesnt pay half the attention to them as they should

apart from all the 'super cars ' id say a french poo sport clio. more BHP per £ than any other car, handles a dream to.
