Without knowing the fault code it is hard to fault find online,maybe taking it to a gearbox spec center,if its a sensor it may not be too expensive

dean, if its the seat pad which is at fault, the by pass will turn the light out

from memory under the bonnet at the back of the engine bay under the black cover, and i think its relay number 8
