Hello,

My name is John. I am about to be a new BMW 5 series owner. I have been a Volvo owner, enthusiast, and mechanic my whole life. My only exposure to BMW up till now is being a BMW motorcycle owner and mechanic. There are alot of similarities between similar vintage volvo and bmw fuel management systems. I am embarking on a new adventure on a new adventure with an 86 BMW 528 e.

I am able to pick up this car pretty cheap. The body is solid. No rust. No dings/dents of any kind. Engine has no leaks and runs ok. There is some idle issues that I will have no problem trouble shooting. My only concern is the interior of the car. There are many electronic funtions that are no working. These will be easy to trouble shoot but there are many missing interior components. Several of the door interior panels are incomplete (handles, sills, and switches). Also Driver seat is structurally weak.

I am trying to find a resource for these parts: interior parts, and driver seat. I need to know I can find these items before I start on this project. driver window is stuck down and 1 door cannot even be opened cause handle is missing. Any advice or resource that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.
