Hi all, i'm new to this forum and bmw cars so just thought i would introduce myself. I picked up my brand new bmw 320d convertible sport plus yesterday and I must say the car looks amazing but i'm not too crazy about the interior having come from a 2012 audi a5 and a mercedes e-class before that.

I'm probably going to be asking you guys for a lot of help on a lot of the features on the car and I already have a few questions that i hope someone will be able to help with.

Firstly i'm a bit confused with the auto headlights, I left the lights on the auto/ on position and they seem to stay on during the day (i.e. drl and dipped beam lights) and the only way i can turn the dipped lights off is to put the light switch to 0 and that way only the drls are on. am i missing something or do all bmws do this?

Also the welcome home lights seem to turn off as soon as i open the door when getting out of the car and this is really annoying as i need the lights to help me see my way to the door.

last question is about the folding mirrors, they don't seem to fold in automatically when i lock the car, how can i change the settings or are folding mirrors an option on the sport plus models?

Sorry if my questions seem silly but this is my first BMW ever and i'm still familiarising myself with everything.

Update:

Just read the manual again and realised my headlights were not in auto but on the on position hence the dipped beam was on, will try it in the morning and see how it goes.

When you park up, turn off the car, pull you left stalk to flash you highbeam before opening door.

They then should stay on for 30 seconds of so.
