Hi everyone. new member here and first time owning a bmw. Just picked myself up a 120d m-sport in estoril blue. its 11 years old and pretty tidy, but it does have a few issues I’m looking forward to getting stuck into sorting (Been years since I’ve had a car to work on) namely condensation on the headlights, drivers door speaker doesn’t work and the left bolster of the drivers seat makes quite a bad clicking sound with me in it while driving and moving around. So if you’ve any tips or tricks or can point me in the right direction that’d be great. cheers Stuart -

Headlight condensation
For anyone else, found a great youtube footage on a fix for this, which is to use a self adhesive foam pushed between the 'eyebrow' and headlight which seals that route for water. You can then get lamps out use hairdryer to dry light out an a wire rid with cloth to clean the inside of the lens before putting headlight bulb back and back into service. Looks like a good fix, needs patience but best I have seen. Here is the link. -

Non bmw technical question
Hi Stu The only bit left is the air gap sensor to reluctor ring. Try measuring the air gap on one of the other wheels make sure the mounting area is absolutely clean and the sensor fully seated a small difference can make all the difference The X5 can still send you Bonkers Good Luck Dave- 1
