    Just got a cooper S, but need some advice... anyone about that cant point me in the right direction for trying to stop the water leaking into my battery area??

    Only had my car just over a week love it but would like to stop the water mixing with my battery...just doesn't seem like a good combo for me!!! :wacko:

    Check the seals around the boot. Also worth looking underneath for any rust thats broken thru

    It's more than likely a leak coming from the third brake light at the top of the bootlid. It's a pretty common fault apparently.
