Guest Mister Dabsy

It is, all diesels do it, a simple way of cutting it down to a minimum is making sure other components, like the EGR for example, are clean and are working as they should...

The EGR does exactly what it says - Exhaust Gas Recirculation, so you can imagine the rubbish that gets thrown back into the cylinders !!

As Gav says...

Garages/Dealers will charge you FIVE hours labour for a job that takes less than an hour !!

Dealers will always try and con anyone who knows nothing about cars (I would too TBF)

DeCoking your engine means a spray of carb cleaner and an old rag

I learnt this dealer trick the hard way a few years back
