Hi,

been searching the net for answers and came across this forum so hello and hope someone can help me.

I am completly useless with cars especially this X5 so many buttons etc. Anyway i must have done something stupid and now i have no audio what so ever, the radio button when pressed does not light up so obviously no sound no radio no CD no TV sound no satnav sound etc etc: wot went wong?????

Please help dont want to go to BMW to get ripped off yet again!

have you checked the fuse?

Is it just sound you have lost or does the screen not come on and light up also did it go whilst driving or just didn't work when car was started

Welcome Bob,, same as Mart77 have you checked the fuse, does everything else work like lights etc?, hope you get it resolved soon.

just checked fuse its ok by the way its fuse number 7 which also is for the phone and that has never worked since ihave had the car.

Everything else works i have TV and Satnav picture but like i said no sound. There is a small amber light next to sound button which should light up when pressed to on,this now doesnt work.It only happened yesterday and the only thing i have done is retune the TV,but the wife is worse than me she may have touched a wrong button ???

Can i disconnect the battery to reset?

Yes, you can reset by that draconian method, but it may reset the car's settings too !!

Dont know what i did but sorted,well got all sounds back phone still down probably the phone?

What was the prob? Crossed wire?
