Hi everyone,

I'm Dan and I'm from Romford in Essex. Owned my E46 320ci for around a year now and was an occasional user on E46zone although these days I tend to be on Detailingworld the most.

Really am enjoying the car although the last week or so I've noticed the steering feels quite light at speed especially on the front wheels and they feel like they're twitching. I'm guessing this is the bushes but will be looking to get it checked out so my first question is can anyone recommend a BMW Specialist in the Essex area? I'm thinking of taking it to PMW in Chelmsford.

Second question is I've got around 5k miles to the next service but it is approaching a year since the last service so should I be looking at getting it serviced aswell? Car is on about 40k miles.

Cheers in advance

Dan

Welcome along Dan

I'd say bushes too, mine felt the same, since changing them the car feels a lot tighter and safer.

Also, as I said on DW, I cant recomend in your area as im from the midlands, but there are a few guys from around your area here, im sure they will be around soon.

Hope you stick around mate.

Had a quote from one specialist for £330 for genuine OEM bushes supplied and fitted, 4 wheel alignment, collecting and dropping car back off. Does that seem a reasonable price?

Edit: Just phoned my local Stealers and they want £125 inc. VAT for bushes, £253 inc. VAT to fit them and £331.20 for a 4 wheel alignment so in total £709.20

seems a bit much mate iv just replaced my bushes and did them my self for about £30

£50 tops for front wishbone rear bushes
