Hi, new to the site and BMW's in general. I've been looking at workshop manuals on CD and was wondering if any members have experience of them in this format. If so, how comprehensive are they; are any included diagrams clear in their layout, precise in their detail, and accurate with their information?

Thanks.

NO lol

But the TIS ones are ok because you can input your chassis number in and ALL your part numbers and model codes/extras are there !!!

DAZ

i have seen them and tbh whats on them you can most likely find on the internet anyway

Spot on Andy, maybe nice to have one on yer laptop whilst around the car (no internet etc)...

Thanks chaps,

Dabsy, could you elaborate on the TIS abbreviation, for a dimwit?

I've always found it helpful to have any information you require on a job right there in front of you. Haynes manuals, for example, I cut up and store in those plastic sleeves. Easy to remove from the file when the job requires. They don't get obscured by oily fingers, and they don't get wet when it rains, (as it inevitably does, half an hour after I start a job!)

Hi AndyG72,

Thanks for posting the link. It appears to be a really useful site and if the example pages are anything to go by, just the thing I'm looking for.

Cheers.

Stands for "Technical Information System"... It's what the Dealers Have !!!
