Hi everybody,

I'm Jas, 19 years old from Luton Bedfordshire with a 1999 BMW 318iS Coupé in Titanium Silver.

Here's the specifications:

BMW 318iS Coupé

M44B19

Titanium Silver

Standard With Style 30 Alloy Wheels

Full Black Leather Interior

Front Armrest

Clear Indicator Pack

Digital Climate Control

Traction Control

It's been modified ever so slightly by me:

Previously had Alpina Replica alloy wheels.

Have now got a set of genuine staggered M3 Contours (in the middle of a DIY polish)

8000k Angel Eyes CCFL Rings + Delensed With Headlamp Alignment

Coilover Suspension (Lowered 50mm)

US-Style Running Lights

BMW OEM Blanking Strip

Cheers Andy, much appreciated :)

Cheers mate - you don't like the look?

Didn't notice it at first , looks good without but why have it in the window? Don't get that, just put it were it should be lol

  • Author

Didn't completely understand that Andy - it looks good without, but put the numberplate where it should be? The blanking plate is the style thing and the numberplate behind the windscreen is to attempt to stay legal - had it there for half a year and not been stopped by police - yet?

You just jinxed yaself mate !! lol

p.s. where u get the blanking plate from and how much ??

  • Author

LOL it's all good they haven't looked twice!

It's only for the non M-Tec bumper mate, the blanker for your front bumper should be roughly the same price though from a dealer - but good luck! The one in Luton's rubbish for blanking trims! Should be alright for you with the M-Bumper though if you're after one?

i mean it looks stupid in the window, why not just stick in on the bumper instead of worrying about the police pulling you lol

Coz I tried that idea and this is how it turned out!

Yeah, that square plate does look poo !

I once put a normal plate on the bottom trim on a Grandad mk2 2.8 using a piano hinge... Looked normal when stood, disappeared when driving lol

  • Author

Yeah, that square plate does look poo !

Agreed!

Yeh your better off just keeping the plate on.. Doesn't look right on a BMW

  • Author

Thanks for the comments guys, unfortunately I'm keeping it as is - I'm not moving the plate unless I need to - But I appreciate the feedback anyway.

The car currently is on the original 16" Style 30 Alloys as I'm polishing the lips of the Contours - after which I'll change the tires as they're very low.
