Went on an extended shopping trip today and round trip was about 15 miles....

Car performed well but...

On about 5 occasions on this trip, the temp guage went over three quarters and returned to half shortly after!

Me finks it is thermostat but also couple this with the fact that blowers inside car very RARELY get warm!

Power is definately there but noticed a slight misfire too! Sport mode is very scary STILL lol...

Have I answered my own question or should I dig deeper?

BTW, rev counter works when it feels like it !!!

DAZ

sounds like the prob im having with mine.

ive changed the thermostat which was ok but its doing it again now. bit of research says that to only use gen bmw stats. ive also got a new temp sensor waiting to get fitted.

but yeah i think your on the ball with the thermostat change. there only cheapish to B)

Is your dash not complying? I mean, does it tell u something when it feels like it lol like mine does?

my temp gauge goes all over the place, when it does it revs slightly more to, but not all the time, does it for a minute are two then will run normal.

as its a temp prob need to fix it though so dont cook the head!!

This is what worries me, Andy.... Obviously ok if it doesnt run into RED but still a worry, eh?

yeah, as its going all over i cant say what the temp is doing. i think i need a gen BMW stat meself for mine, as when i replaced it last time (few months ago) it was actually fine for a few weeks.

not long til i can drive it now either B)

Hehehehe Cant wait Andy.... You deserve some luck pal...
