Brake problem and solution

Hopefully i`ll be doing this tonight or tomorrow but either way....

I noticed when i`m braking at any speed could be 5mph or 60 on the very odd occasion the brake pedal feels stiff/scratchy (my technical talk there xD) and the brakes seem to only work at 25% capacity however taking your foot off and reapplying fixes the problem, I thought this might have something to do with a tempermental abs sensor as my bm has quite high miles.

Either way took it down the garage and set to work with my brother and its an abs ring thats on the way and apprently its not an uncommon problem so i`ll do my best to take some photos as i go and post them up in the hopes if anyone else is having this problem it`ll be a little help

      650i VANOS failure

      Hi everyone, my BMW is due for a VANOS replacement and I’ve found two options with a big price gap: Febi Bilstein (265.19€) - https://onlydrive.pro/parts/camshaft...bilstein-46508 Maxgear (91.29€) - https://onlydrive.pro/parts/gear-spr...axgear-54-1505 Has anyone here used either of these? How do they compare in terms of durability, fitment, and noise after installation? Is the premium for Febi Bilstein worth it, or does Maxgear hold up fine in real-world use?

      BMW X1 valve cover gasket replacement

      Hi there all. I recently bought a bmw x1 xdrive 2014. There is smoke entering through the heater vents. Looking online ppl suggested replacing head cover and gasket. Has anyone done it? Is there anyone in Birmingham who can do it? Thank you

      2017 430d LED headlight beam adjustment for continental.

      Thanks for reply. It’s similar to what I’ve read elsewhere then. I parked the car facing a wall, not sure if it’s just me, but there’s a slight kick in the beam pattern towards the nearside. Think I’ll chance it. Many other people claim they don’t bother with any beam deflectors.

      Morning Kevin I know that there was an adjustment lever for HID's but I thought I read that LED's had a Flat pattern that cant be adjusted. Does your Local BMW Dealer know more I wonder worth asking As an aside my Brother inlaw has a 5 series Estate and does many miles on the other side of the Channel and I don't recall him doing anything, I will have to ask the question Dave

      2017 430d LED headlight beam adjustment for continental.

      Good evening all, looking at going to Belgium next week for a night away. Cant see anything in handbook (online or in I drive) regarding driving on the continent that is relevant. It mentions turning off Auto setting and adjust setting in Idrive “settings - lighting - headlights - headlight adaptation” however mine doesn’t have this option to select/change, not does it have adaptive LED lights, just LED’s. Had a look on the rear of the lamps, nothing obvious to swap over (have seen a lever on other models) Any ideas please? Worst case I’ll sling some beam deflectors on.
