my Mrs was driving down the motorway and warning come up saying gears won’t engage and went into neutral,

Pulled over onto hard shoulder and it was ticking over normally I said turn it off and back on to see if it went back to normal and it said engine won’t start and wouldn’t crank so got recovered had click mechanic come out to diagnose and he said there was oil where they shouldn’t be there was a leak from the oil pressure pipe and has got into the air flow and the engine was seized but I wasn’t here and wasn’t convinced as the engine was idling smoothly no strange noises etc and now I have a video of what it’s doing I thought alternator or battery tried jump leads and booster pack and nothing hopefully someone can help

Can the engine be turned over by hand ?? You may have to get under neath and remove the front under tray to get a socket on the crank shaft bolt.

If the engine turns by hand it probably isn't seized, if it wont turn by hand and oil has got into the induction it may have hydraulically locked the engine not good

The mechanic that came out did he use any diagnostic software ?

@Rixy_1409 I have to say, from what Dave has already touched on, did the mechanic scan the vehicle to look for some sort of guidance on what could be the issue? To me, it looks and sounds more like a battery issue as the instrument panel drops out when turning over but should still register something albeit warning lights, etc.
Has it had a new battery recently?
