Split alloys

Morning Mark

Welcome to the Forum

I have read several reports over the years where owners have fitted After Market wheels and suffered cracks and splits. That is across several models and 20+ years the fact they are the same size and fit doesn't mean they are suitable for purpose.  In your case the wheels may be lighter construction than the OEM wheels, OK for track use but everyday driving pot holes speed bumps etc on low profile tyres is to much for them.

I don't know if BBA or Alpina did wheels for the 6 series (not a two door man no where for the dogs) they won't be cheap though.

Dave

As an after thought have you checked www.realoem.com to see what wheels/styles where available for your car
