A bit more on the car......

It's not in too bad condition BUT it does look better from a distance than close up. I've booked it in for some bodywork in October. It's a lovely drive and I use it 3/4 days a week. I bought it as a medium to long term investment/project (although I'm prepared to leave bodywork to experts!) . Most of the electrics work and I'm currently concentrating on these. Andy Scotts E24 survival guide is a massive help.

Where it came from...

After a couple of disappointments I talked to the Scooby dealer who was selling it. He is just outside Dundee and was kind enough to send it down on a trailer for me to look at - (I live in the West Midlands). The arrangement was that if I liked it then I would buy it and if I didn't he would refund my deposit and take it back.

I kept it.

After the bodywork is done I plan to put 'normal' - (non metric wheels) on it that are shod with radials. I'll keep the metric wheels with their TRX tyres for those times when I want it to look original. I'll also upgrade the security and the ICE. (Only cassettes I've got are part of Springsteen set from the late 80's.)
