  1. Thanks for making me feel welcome. A bit more on the car...... It's not in too bad condition BUT it does look better from a distance than close up. I've booked it in for some bodywork in October. It's a lovely drive and I use it 3/4 days a week. I bought it as a medium to long term investment/project (although I'm prepared to leave bodywork to experts!) . Most of the electrics work and I'm currently concentrating on these. Andy Scotts E24 survival guide is a massive help. Where it came from... After a couple of disappointments I talked to the Scooby dealer who was selling it. He is just outside Dundee and was kind enough to send it down on a trailer for me to look at - (I live in the West Midlands). The arrangement was that if I liked it then I would buy it and if I didn't he would refund my deposit and take it back. I kept it. After the bodywork is done I plan to put 'normal' - (non metric wheels) on it that are shod with radials. I'll keep the metric wheels with their TRX tyres for those times when I want it to look original. I'll also upgrade the security and the ICE. (Only cassettes I've got are part of Springsteen set from the late 80's.) Thanks again for the welcome!!
  2. My second BMW. Much more a fan of this model than pretty much anything else BMW or otherwise. Named after a friend who had a German mum!
