Hi everyone I have a 2006 760Li that has some issues. I have bought an INPA / ISTA compatible cable but need to get the software. Is there someone on here who sells the software? I would need help setting it up as well. Car has had the following replaced: Seats, Logic 7 amp and ASK unit (yes, car already had logic 7), steering angle sensor, complete rear suspension including struts, blue/red pipes and compressor, and a brand new BOSCH battery. Apparently some of these needs some sort of coding? What do I need for that? Any help would be very much appreciated. Happy to pay anyone willing to help over whatsapp video call to take me through things.

Is there a way to get the original window sticker?
Mago789 replied to Mago789's topic in The Owners Club General Discussions
Update: Hey everyone! I want to give a big thanks to all of you in the forum, especially those who shared helpful tips about my car search! So, about that window sticker, I just did a quick search on Google! I typed in "window sticker by VIN" and found this awesome website! It even lets you search for window stickers by license plate. How cool is that? Since I had the VIN number, I got myself a replica of the window sticker. Thanks a bunch for all your support, you guys are awesome! -
Hi. All of my Hey BMW commands work fine, except when trying to Command Open Drivers Window, Open Sun roof or Open sun blind, I get a response “this is not currently possible”. I have tried asking BMW but do not get consistent answers. Is this possible on a UK car running v9 OS? thanks in advance. Al

Hi to you all out there. I am seriously perturbed about the somewhat cockeyed notion that gearboxes in both BMW and Mercedes Benz cars are seal for life and do not require servicing !! Indeed it has been said that they (both marques ) that they only need working on when they totally fail as functioning transmissions !! My question to the forum is simply - has anyone had or got a 635 Auto that has had had a transmission service or is booked in for one and what cost is involved ? I have scrutinized the documentation/service book/record and there is no evidence of the car having had a transmission service in the year since it was first registered in July 2008. albeit the mileage is now as 133,250 miles.

Hi Stuart As Stu has said Welcome Clean the lights through the bulb holder space. Use a piece of sponge on the end of wire then cloth to dry out the condensation use a hair dryer or heat gun to make sure then a small bag of Silica Gel should keep things clear. Paul also posted a fix that may help Test and check the speaker connections as Stu says From memory the seat bolster has a hoop type support may be it is broken away at one end ? Never come across it but always possible Most important ENJOY your beemer Dave

Morning Oliver Welcome to the Forum As far as I am aware they should be Tilt and Slide. There were some well documented incidence of them failing over the years and they can be a pain to fix from what I have read. Never done one personally, that may explain your specialists reaction. You could use a Vin Decoder to get the original build sheet the item to look for is S402A electric powered roof Dave

Hello Zat Welcome to the Forum Is your Warranty/Protection plan with BMW or an Aftermarket Company ? If it is an After market Warranty then they will just require proof of service to support the Warranty. There is a register of BMW Specialist's in the UK Google will help generally their Labour rates are around half that of BMW Dealers but they do have the knowledge and equipment to carry out all service and repairs needed Experience tells me most Service our selves statements mean Oil and Filter as the cars iDrive system records service intervals against time/distance it probably hasn't been touched. Even Dealers tend to record the service electronically and on the iDrive these days so you may have to ask for the service book to be stamped 😁 Progress Personally I have never trusted Extended service intervals and always carry out a full service annually Good Luck with finding a Specialist and enjoy your new car Dave

Then you need the same box or you will need the skills and equipment to re program the gearbox ECU so it can communicate with the Engine DDE and several other of the cars ECU's The box that is in there has the fluid level been checked ? If a bump causes disconnect I would also check the loom Take a look at www.realoem.com it is an online BMW parts list put the last 7 digits of the Vin into the search box it will call up your Model. Then search the gearbox section, if you double click the part number (in Blue) it will bring up a list of other models the box was used in, if nothing their then choice is limited I am afraid Dave

Hi all Need a recommendation of an individual or garage in the Gloucester Area who knows about BMW engines and who might be willing to look at it. on the codes it mentions that cylinders 4 and 5 have a misfire!! Thanks

Morning Mike Welcome to the Forum You could try disconnecting the Battery (Neg lead first) for about 30 mins (a Dealer trick) if that doesn't reset things then a Diagnostic session may be the only way Good Luck Dave

BMW X5 40e White smoke at startup after 3 or 4 days notinuse.
RodG replied to RodG's topic in BMW X5 Series Forum
To wrap this up, - my X5 was stolen from my driveway a few weeks ago. The white smoke at start-up is now somebody else's problem. ( Probably a turbo oil seal. ) The car was moved to a secluded location and the built-in tracker was disabled. The BMW app showed it about 5Km from my house but when the police went there there was no car to be found. I'd put a new transfer box into it which was €5K but thankfully didn't have the turbo reconditioned (€2k). Waiting for the insurance money. Probably will go for a 2019 3 Series 330i hybrid. My days of sitting high at the lights are over :-(
