commen prob with BMWs isnt it. im looking into mine to. take it the headgasket is ok? could be temp sensor, thats what im looking at changing next. did you mechanic plug a scanner into it?

seems to be the only major issue with bmws, engine wise. the cooling system is a bit wierd! think the prob with mine is the temp sensor. going to look into it next weekend

possible thermostat? heater matrix? is there a control that spins but has blue on it and when spin the other end red? welcome to the club

same thing fella Mass Air Flow a little google search shows you can actually clean them with carb cleaner, also says brake cleaner!, id prob go with carb cleaner. just spray some in while running the engine. also says if you have a dirty MAF sensor they can be the syptoms described by the OP.

i only got my own john as i didnt get enough people going for the ten to save a few quid. so its easier for me now if every one just gets there own. didnt think it would be that hard to get the ten but obviosly it is :angry: cheers for getting involved though and il refund your money in a minute. the club stand is still going ahead as of now though. not 100% but could be the MAF sensor. gives the correct air into the engine i think. not enough air to fuel the car will do this. could be wrong but its a commen thing to go wrong

ive heard its best not to gav if you have more than 100k on your car. a true pro tuner will give good advice though, ask around whose best ive heard AMD i think it is are ment to be good

hope not! i get trade prices anyway and lee my mate will fit it for beer tokens, are a good detail on his car :lol: hopefully it wont cost $$ though
