Hi mate have you looked at the 4.6is I loved mine it's quicker than the 4.4 prob as quick as the 4.8 but a lot less to insure than the 4.8. The carbon limited edition is a beautiful looking X5

Hi mate I had the gear box go in mine about six months ago How many miles has the X5 covered as they can be problematic post 90,000 Daz or Dabsy will prob be about in a bit they are the best two to help advise on this. Also the rear sub frame bushes only have a lifespan of about 90,000 so check to see if these have been done Hope you get this sorted

Have to half agree with Dabsy ie lot of outlay for little use but as for not that good I have to disagree I have done 120mph + with 5 adults and then off road on shooting expedition with no problems

Hi mate I was waiting to read the ransom amount at the bottom of this post I have always had 4x4 and had the 4.6 is X5 and loved it to bits but when they start getting to the 90,000 + miles there are some common expensive issues 1 rear subframe bushes £450 2 front wishbone bushes 3 gearbox £2,000 I swopped mine for a 7 series but missed my 4x4 so bought a jeep Cherokee as well for winter

Right I think it's the mass air flo sensor can this be cleaned or does it need to be replaced Also I have found new ones for £60 but a bosh one the same is £219

Thanks Daz for your input someone else said it may be a sensor prob won't make the MK meet for one this weather has put me behind at work and the engine fault drive moderately light has come on a couple of times this week I want to get it sorted before I take it on a 300 mile round trip

Hi all need a bit of advice ... The e65 7 series has a annoying judder it feels a bit like a misfire or petrol shortage .. Some times pulling away from a roundabout it sort if holds back before pulling away and when your doing 30/40 mph the revs jump up and down like its struggling
