I need wishbone bush replacement and have been advised to go down the powerflex route, apparently its a better option long term as the standard ones don't seem to last long and make the car feel skittish on the road. Is this a logical step?

Yes mate, they are a lot stiffer and will last a very very long time

Cheers mate, thought that might be the case as I've used them before on other cars. I just wanted to make sure as this is my first BMW.

I've been looking at the Powerflex bushes for mine as well,

They do normal ones and a black edition, it says the black addition are only for track use. Does anyone know if there is much difference between the norm and black edition?

Cheers.

Closest you'll get to physically welding the suspension to the chassis with the black series haha

Not comfortable for the road. Don't advise. I'm not much of a fan of the purple ones either as I like to stick to OEM for comfort, but that's usually just me who thinks like that lol

Haha well that doesn't sound like to much fun. I think it's the standard powerflex for me.

Thanks Daz.

I've had the Powerflex bushes on, the only issue now is its highlighted another knocking through the wheel on mainly low speed undulations. I have had two garages check the suspension and steering components with nothing untoward found. I'm thinking maybe anti roll bar bushes as the knocking through the wheel feels more like a rattle if that makes sense.

So where do the purple Powerflex ones go on that chart, between blue and black?

The blue is meant to be purple, being colour blind that one sneaked past doh!

Ahhhh haha, wicked, cheers Spence.
