Hi to you all.

My problem is on a e46 , 1999, 318i se . Auto.

It's ok over bumps and on acceleration but when you apply the breaks there is a knock it sounds as if it coming from the back end you can feel it through the car the harder you apply the break the louder the knock gets the car has done 49k and just had a mot 2 days ago, it's my friends car that i borrowed for few days it in good condition apart from this so because hes elderly would be nice to put it right without taking it to a steeler many thanks .
