Im new to forum and havn't owned a BMW for about a year now but thinking of getting another one.

Anyway just thought id say hello.

Im not sure to be honest, as much as I love my Type R I originally got it for my 29 mile commute to work and I fitted engine mount inserts, unsilenced centre exhaust and Spoon N1 replica backbox so its extreamly loud.

However I now work 490miles from where I live and every 2 weeks I have to put up with the noise for the whole 490mile journey so it would be nice to have another Beemer for comfort.

I was thinking of an E38 728i but not sure what sort of mpg to expect on a 490mile motorway journey?

30-55 mpg on motorway n thats with a mixture of heavy n light footwork :)
