Wonder if anyone can offer any tips. Car has been into the dealer today as the yellow engine light has been coming on intermittently and noticed that the car has been slow to build up revs in second gear sometimes on slight inclines. The car had a new turbo about 14 months ago. Dealer wants to take off the manifold to put a camera up there to check for suspected carbon build up. If this is confirmed strip down and clean of engine required at a cost of up to £2k! Thinking of getting rid of the car as I just seem to be throwing good money after bad. Turbo repair cost £1200 after goodwill gesture a year ago. Car has done approx 75k mostly on motorway apart for the last year where it has been used a lot for the school run etc. It has been having a good workout every fortnight on the motorway though.

Good independent should be able to do the job for a lot less than dealer prices, plus

selling the vehicle in that condition may prove to be difficult.
