Hi all

Recently bought an M5 E60. Main reason - have a newborn and the VW Polo's boot space wasn't quite big enough for 3 tonne of luggage needed to carry!

Great car, good fun, benefit is not doing many miles as car is for social use only.

Also, I should add, I am not unfamiliar with powerful vehicles, having had a history of superbikes and stupid racers i.e. Evo's, and other turbo'd motors when I was younger (not that I am old). So the M5 seemed the sensible choice over the e46 M3 and outdated e39 M5 (although I would have purchased this model in a heart beat, but hardly any good examples around).

    The m5 v10 is a monster if only it was a manual. after taking my mates for a blast out around the peak district i can only describe it as superb and well balanced machine just scary bills otherwise would get one :) Enjoy it mate

    Lol! My M5 ownership has started with a red cog on the dash! Lol!

    In all the 21 miles I have covered from the dealership it's going back to the service centre for it to be sorted. In the meanwhile I have to put up with the courtesy car - 320i touring base model, doesn't even have sat nav - hopefully this'll do better than 11mpg though!

    Will post photos once everything is sorted.
