Hi...Well after a rather expensive Alfa Romeo ownership I have decided to give BMW a go having never owned on of these cars before. My new ride, as of yesterday, is a very clean E46 4 door 330i SE which I am very pleased with having already clocked up over 300 miles driving it back from the north.

Its covered 117k miles, not a spot of rust anywhere and the engine appears to be very strong, last service completed 3 years and only 8k miles ago.

I guess I should be asking is there anything I should be looking out for? Are there any weak points I need to take care of? So far it appears to be a pretty good car..

    Welcome Steve, Enjoy the forum, if the car was serviced 3 years ago, could well be worth changing oils and fluids, but if the car has been looked after, should serve you well.

    My 330ci is solid....

    ....now I changed clutch, flywheel, head gasket, all bushes!! 145k
