Hi, can anyone help me? I appear to have an oil leak coming from the oil filter housing, the garage has said that I require a new housing unit but BMW no longer sell this, I have looked online and cannot find one anywhere but during further investigation I noticed that some seals can be replaced ( for sale on American websites only), could someone please give me some wise words of wisdom regarding this, thanks Paula

Welcome to BMWOC

What car do you have? I can see it is an E30 but what model?

Hi, thanks for the welcome, fingers crossed I will get there in the end!!

325i E30s have M20 engines installed. M20 engines don't have oil filter housings as they use disposable oil filters.

Can you get a picture of what you mean?

Hi, just a quick update, have managed to source the seal kits to repair the housing, so all good again! Cheers. Lulu

Still confused. Your filter screws onto the side of your block. There is no housing. What kit did you get?
