Alrighty everyone. Just joined up as next week i'll be picking up an e36 323. Strange story to the car. Basically someone i work with has had it sitting on his drive for a bout a year and only taken it runs round the block every week to keep it turning over. No tax or mot but only done 50 miles since last mot. Reason i'm taking it is simple, i currently have a vx omega 2.6 v6 which i love. However due to the fact i have a 62 mile round trip to work each day the 22mpg it does is something i don't love. So was told from the lad at work if i wanted i can take this 323 for a bargain price and, here comes the best part, it has lpg fitted! Happy days. However it has a few issues needing sorted, and thats without even putting it up on a ramp to inspect the underside completely  who knows what it's like. The known issues it has are...

1. radiator fan isn't working properly, so overheats if sitting idle but is fine if driving. The fan turns but has no torque to it at all so can just be stopped by hand. Am i correct in saying i can cure this issue with a "fan delete mod". From what i gather this is basically removing this fan and fitting a lower temp thermostat??

2. the drivers window has been smashed, motor still functions as i can hear it just needs replacement glass..scrappies part??

3. Needs a new boot lock

4. needs some tlc to the bodywork...rear arches redone and a few other bits of trim here and there

So my predicament is what do i do with it! Do i keep it, sort the issues (assuming it is ok other than these) and use it as my daily driver for work. If i do i will be treating it to some m3 bumpers, coilovers and a couple other goodies  yep thats right, i have it all planned out in my head..

Or do I strip the lpg and have it fitted to the omega (seems a lot of work  ) then strip the car and scrap the shell. I know i will make my money back as it has 4 good, clean alloys, nice tidy cream leather and the engine looked and sounded spot on!

So guys fire away with your thought and opinions, no need to hold back!

Defo keep the car mate. Ive got a 323ci, apart from the tinest spot of rust on one rear arch (and I'm really picky) Ive never found another spot on mine so have to say from my experience they're spot on. Get her all done up so we don't lose another e36 : )
