BMW 318si S reg in need of advice on engine problems

There's a nosie coming from the engine that is not normal and it has no go at all any advice??

What sort of noise? Where abouts from?

Coming from top of the engine and making a loud blowing noise sounds like the exhaust has blown but is coming from top of engine

Any loss in performance?

You put your foot down you get nothing and it's very juddery when you go to pull from light

Have a check round for spit pipes mate

Yeah mate no are split

Now the car don't Start at all and is sounding worse

Defo sounds like a split hose,prob the big one behind the MAF sensor !! The Mrs has go a compact that had the same prob,sorted that pipe and sorted the problem !!

just thought id let you know the car is now in me mates garage

May just need a good service ! Could be an engine breathing issue (bunged up pipework)... Just a thought, hard to say without being there !!

Sounds like HG to me

what the HG

Head Gasket

mates looked and sed it could be 1 of or all 5 cam sensors

Spray bottle of soapy water and a running but cold engine is what you need :)

Turnsout it was the cat. It was blocked and was put the car in get me home mode

All done now yay got my BMW back on the road
