Hi,

Just bringing my 1994 325i convertible back from Spain. It has been standing in storage for two years so I guess I'll need to do some work on it before it can go back on UK roads.

It was originally purchased in the USA and is an automatic LHD

The dashboard lights are getting more and more dim as the car gets older. I have seen a US web posting on how to change them but haven't a clue where to get replacement parts. Any ideas?

Steve

You will be amazed what a good run around the block will do!, make sure the levels are correct and give it a good old run!, it will free the brakes up a treat.

Then get it MOT

Get it insured on its VIN number

And of course go to the DVLA and wait for the idiots there to reg you car on UK plates and charge you accordingly.

Photos of the car are need , be interesting to see a USA spec e36

Welcome Steve... You'll be pleasantly surprised that all BMW's accept the same parts (except the obvious trim, LHD/RHD) ;)

Welcome Steve, Enjoy the forum. :D

Many thanks for the message. I'll give it a blast as soon as it is off the transporter!!!

Have found loads of articles on the web about the light cluster problem, so it should be a relatively inexpensive fix.

In case there are any other problems does anyone have any recommendations on BMW parts/breakers in the Wolverhampton area?
