hi all, just bought my first bmw e46 318, the interior lights dont work when i open drivers door but work with everything else. any suggestions?

    Sorry I'm not the familiar with the E36, but is there a push switch or copper connectors inside the door shut?

    Id say dodgy door pins too !!

    Or failing that the switch is in the wrong position ??

    Or the switch inside the light is knackered ??

    Try this... Hold the interior light dome switch (All doors closed) for about 5 secs... Wait and press once, wait and open door!

    This method overides the GCM... The 5 sec procedure disables the interior light door activation and the extra push puts it back to auto !!
