Gowan, Gowan, Gowan, Gowan! It seems to me that Bishop Brennan needs a really hard kick up the ##### on this club to start some socialising, so I'll grab myself by the short and curlies and say.........................Come On, Dorset!

THE HORTON INN,

CRANBORNE ROAD,

WIMBORNE,

BH21 5AD

Sunday, 6th April, 12 O'Clock Noon. Meet Up, say Hello, poke fun at each others cars, in for Sunday Carvery (a beer if the wife/partner is driving!) at 1.

This is really quite central for much of Dorset -- Bournemouth, Poole, Wareham, Wimborne, Blandford, Shaftesbury, Verwood, Not so good for Dorchester and West Dorset, but I couldn't find anywhere with a good sized car park around Blandford way which would have been better. Not bad for Salisbury, South Wiltshire too? What do you think?

Need to be at least a dozen of us not to be rated Billy No Mates??

1. Jeffthro and Andrea.

2. Ashwani

3. bmwtourer318i and partner

4. Jordanjl

5. marcmoss

6. lee31584

So this is looking like a winner then? :)

Yes Jeff! I am inn :D

I am cool with the time/date and place!

Terrific! At least theres 2 of us to have a chat now, lol! We'll keep bumping this to keep everyone aware, and then I'll make a group table booking the week before. C'mon guys, welcome the Spring in!

P.S. Ashwani, just you, or you and partner/wife?

ahaa lol! yeah sure mate; I'll spread this too ;) and hopefully we'll have more people joining us ;)

Just me Jeff!

I am delighted to be getting some interest in this proposal, so I have taken the step of speaking to the Manager, Oliver, and making a VERY provisional booking. He will be delighted to welcome us as a Club, as he already hosts the local ROVER Owners Club once a month. Large car park, so we can have our own area within it, and I only have to confirm numbers for the carvery the week before. I can assure you the carvery is excellent! Choice of 3 meats (you can have some of all 3 if you want!) and as much of the roast potatoes and veg as you can get on your plate! The last time I was out there I left a trail of gravy across the floor from the serving area to our table! :D

Shouldn't really talk about the beers, I guess as we are a driving club, obviously, but he runs a good cellar too.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get 20 of us lined up side by side? Come on, come on, come on!

hiya i be up for that be nice meet up and get meet sum of you guys hope weather ok and good excuse spend 3 hours polishing the old girl lol

Just had a look at the maps on my phone and it's only an hour and a quarter drive from Swindon, so count me in!

Great Stuff, Jordan. Please check this thread from time to time for "updates". Will need to confirm nearer the time if just you or you + wife/partner, plus if having the carvery.

Does anyone have a problem if I talk to my friends at Dorset Japanese Car Club, (Where I am still actually a member), to see if we can maybe make this a Joint Club Meet? I do actually think this would work very well, make it a much better day for everyone, and I'll make it my priority of introducing everyone and getting us all together. Its a big car park, plenty of room, and it would be so much better if we could get maybe 25/30 cars on display than maybe even only 10 or so. They are also a very friendly, sociable bunch, too. What do you all think???

Bumperty Bumperty Bump, everyone. Getting interest from DJCC, would really like to get some more names up on here. The weather has GOT to have cleared up and dried up by then, its going to be a lovely, sunny, spring day, just perfect for a pleasant, lazy drive down in the morning and then having a couple of hours with a group of lovely, like minded new friends chatting about our beautiful motors.

Bumperty Bump Bump Bump. Now come on, everyone! Jordan is coming down from Swindon. Lee is coming down from Gloucester for Goodness sake!!!!!! I'm looking for at least another ten names, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire???? Lets get this show on the road!! Theres a fair bit of interest within Dorset Japanese Car Club, and if we end up with more Guests at our meet than Beemers I'm gonna be well upset. Look at the details and tell me to put you on the list. I'll need exact details nearer the time for total number of bodies and those eating, but that can wait until the end of March. Come On Down!!

To all in Dorset, I hope you enjoy

FINAL BUMP on this, 4 weeks today get together. Any of you reading this living in the Wessex region, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire possibly even Devon if you're crazy enough, please read details on here, Local Club Meets - South West - Dorset, and consider adding yourself to attendees. Will not go ahead with only max of 6 as per list currently.

REGRET THIS PROPOSED MEET IS NOW CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST. Very many thanks to those of you good enough to show your interest, but 6 in the whole of "Wessex" is very disappointing. We'll have another go in early autumn, maybe September time. Perhaps try something based around a family day out, Longleat House, Bovington Tank Museum, something like that?

Jeffthro, sorry your meet didn't materialise. I would try and get down should you manage to get one going at Longleat, Bovingdon etc.
