hi everyone when i touch my accelerator pedal it is really stiff and hard to drive could this be the pedal its self i hear the wear down might be wrong though any help thanks

I can only go slow or fast, no gradual speeds in my car!!!

Check the throttle-cable for stiffness or tight bending, as it routes around the engine bay... Try manually twisting the throttle from under the bonnet while the engine is running (In Neutral of course!)...

You might also want to elimate interference from the carpet or behind the pedal !!

Let me know...

mate i can help with this possibly but am drinkin beer.i shall reply in the morning

Go on Mart, have a go ;)

Thanks , as i accerate i get a flat spot as well then it goes when it get to about 3k not very good at a junction at all

Yep, similar issue !! But @ 4k revs... Unplug the MAF and I bet your flat-spot arrives at about 2k revs or before... The clues are there !

Right i will try this in a min so is it best to leave it unplugged or replace MAF as well bit new to these cars as you can prob tell :(

You don't need to replace the MAF, maybe clean it... Many topics on this mate.
