Hi everyone

New on here,picking up me first BM tomorrow,and its an 55plate X5d sport,must be going through a mid life crisis LOL,just a bit concerned about fuel consuption,seen a few figure floating about on here,any X5 owners out there that can give me an idea?

Gettin the 3.0d,test drove the beast and it was great,just hope the fuel consumption isn't much more than 2.0 td4 freelander i have at mo.

Just looked at the E70 (yours is last of E57) and its showing 28mpg Urban and 35mpg average, so expect 45mpg at cruising speeds, maybe !!

Welocme to the club mate.

I have had my X5 (E53) 56 plate for about a month now and I am getting about 25 mpg on country runs, but as others have already said - who cares, as it is a great car.

The 2007 + models have better fuel consumption I believe, but the cost is a lot more. So why not pay much less for a 56 plate with lowish miles. The saving of a few thousand will counteract the extra fuel cost over a 57 or 58 plate. Enjoy.
